Thank you for checking us out! Because Mastodon is not owned by a single person or company, it is up to volunteers to run instances and maintain them. Currently for Okla.Social, the costs are around $51 per month in order to host the instance with Toot.io, domain renewal. Lemmy and Pixelfed are both currently in testing so those costs are not included.
