What is Wecott? Wecott is a boycott-organizing platform built for fast, effective change. You join, make your commitment public, and as commitments accumulate, companies feel real, measurable pressure -- instead of a boycott being a scattered hashtag, it becomes a visible, growing number they have to answer to.

Why Liberapay Every dollar this project receives is tracked here, publicly, line by line. A platform helping people to hold companies accountable should hold itself to the same standard.

Origin The idea for Wecott took shape in 2013. Turning it into working software took longer -- there's no obvious funding path for a tool built to pressure the same companies that would normally bankroll something like this. Active development began in 2024, and the platform is now live.
