▎ Sombrero File Search (SFS) is a free, open-source (GPL-3.0) file search for Linux, both desktop and command line, built on ripgrep and fd. ▎ ▎ - Search by name, by content (with boolean expressions) and inside documents such as PDF and office files ▎ - A duplicate finder that compares by size and hash before calling anything a copy ▎ - Strictly read-only: it never moves, renames or deletes your files ▎ - Disk-aware: it measures SSD and spinning disks and adapts, so a 2.7 M-file archive drive is scanned in seconds, not minutes ▎ ▎ SFS is made by one person, a physician and programmer, in his spare time. Donations pay for the domain and hosting, and for the hours of testing on real disks that keep it fast and safe.
