I contribute to FLOSS projects in hopes that the future will be better than the present. I am a mender of legacy code.

I am currently focusing on:

Continuing modernizzation of the oauth and oauth2 gems which support authentication in a plurality of Ruby apps
rubocop-lts - Rules for [every specific version of] Ruby: Rubocop + Standard + Betterlint + Shopify + Gradual
Patching to update dependencies, and bring each rubygem into compliance with rubocop-packaging so they can be included in the Debian linux distribution
Migrating to alternative CI tools, fixing builds, and updating the spec suites to drop EOL'd Rubies, and include latest Rubies
Migrating code away from GitHub (see my profile on GitHub for more on why)
Improve documentation, and investigate some of the thornier issues that have been raised in issue trackers.

Ruby continues to be my favorite language after 19 years! I hope the day will never come when I stop contributing into the Ruby ecosystem!

I recently got into homebrew casks, and now I maintain a cask of old kops versions for Homebrew.
