If you are reading this then you are likely someone I know or someone who knows someone I know. If not, allow me to introduce myself. I am a "Do It Yourself" scientist and researcher who has a vested interest in developing new inventions and methods that allow people to be more self sufficient. I work with my friends/colleagues on software and hardware projects that include developing a new operating system, developing alternative fuels, inventing alternative battery systems, studying particle physics, and genetic engineering projects. I am committed to releasing the contents of my and our groups work as public domain as open hardware, open software, and open research. The reason I set up this account is that the cost of materials as well as the cost of living are not paid for by what I do. As I do not want to paywall what I and my friends work on; I would rather ask that people donate to my colleagues and I. In return we can give back the fruits of our projects for free and devote more of our time to what we want to do rather than what we have to do just to get by.
