Your donations will support my research into the history and development of sound art and experimental music in China. You will be supporting my ongoing plans to collect information and write about this activity, and to create exhibitions and events based on the work by these artists. All of this ultimately aims to create a coherent account and archive of their work, raising the profile of this approach to art-making and integrating it into the local and international art historical context. At this point an immediate need that these donations will support will be travel costs to locations in Mainland China and Hong Kong where sound artists live, to allow me to meet and interview them and from which future projects can be developed.
