Since 2013, I have been supporting myself largely through recurring crowdfunded donations. The business model, such as it is, is now familiar to many. I write songs, record albums, write essays and record podcasts and other things all for free, all the while hoping people who appreciate my work who can afford to will want to become ongoing financial supporters.
