What is The Man Fisher?
TMF is a Christian 3d game in development.
What type of game is The Man Fisher?
- The single player part is going to be a spiritual adventure game with exploration & survival elements
- The multiplayer part will be a platform for fellowship with other believers in a 3d game setting
Can non-Christians play this game
Of course they can
What is The Man Fisher going to cost?
TMF will be free. No loot crates, no micro-payments etc etc etc .
If the game is free, how do you earn money?
There is no profit intent whatsoever. The budget for this project displayed on the left (goal)
What do you do when you receive more than enough money?
Too many brothers and sisters don't have access to 3 meals a day. What is too much will be given to the needy and this page will be set on halt until it's needed again. Please don't send money for charity; but only become a patron if you want to help this project being realized.
Why a Christian game?
I am a born-again Christian & devoted follower of Jesus Christ,
and have a calling to create a platform for fellow my believers to:
- study the scriptures in an interactive way
- and to have fellowship with one another in a virtual world
There are many believers who are isolated due to:
- mental and physical limitations
- lack of like-minded brothers and sisters
- being introvert or anxious
- persecution and restrictions by the society ("the world")
- false teachings and lukewarmness
- lack of true spiritual leaders and caring shepherds
The Man Fisher may be tool for those in isolation to be able to learn and share God's word and encourage & comfort each other in a game environment without gambling in any form, mindless repetitions, sexual content and rewards for unrighteous behavior.
Why are the graphics a bit dated?
This game is being developed on older hardware for older hardware, running in an older engine.
What kind of game engine do you use?
It runs in a customized clone of the open-sourced Torque 3D engine
Why are you not using Unity or Unreal?
Because T3D is one of the few open sourced MIT licensed engines with no strings attached whatsoever; and that is exactly what we need!
When will it be finished?
That is really hard to say. The development started in March 2019 so it may take at least a couple of years. However there is the aim to have a playable demo in 2021
Can I sign up to be an alpha tester?
You can, but it's still too early. Have a little patience.
