I’ve been involved with Free Software since 2004. During that time, I have played a plethora of roles in various organisations.

GNOME

My main job at GNOME currently is i18n coordinator. It takes most of my contributing time, but unfortunately I don’t spend as much time on it as I would like. This is currently the main motivation to use this Liberapay account. With enough funding, I could spend less time looking for customers and more time improving i18n in GNOME.

As a long time member of the bugsquad, I triage issues across the whole of GNOME and help maintainers stay afloat.

Some of my activity can be seen on the GNOME GitLab instance. Much activity doesn’t though, as it happens on Damned Lies, Matrix, or in private emails.

FLOSS

I make lots of small contributions to many projects, as issues happen to cross my path. Some people have thousands of commits to a handful of repos; I have a handful of commits in thousands of repos. Often, it’s fixing typos, as I’m cursed with noticing them when others don’t. Sometimes, it’s a small patch. Other times, it’s opening detailed issues to help the maintainers make their software better, or updating a wiki page that is inaccurate. In all cases, it’s leaving the world a better place than how I found it.

Digital commons

I promote and contribute to digital commons such as Wikipedia and OpenStreetMap.
