NOVASEN

NOVASEN is a local chapter of the Virginia Solidarity Economy Network (VASEN), which is a state-level chapter of the US Solidarity Economy Network (US SEN), which is a national-level chapter of the intercontinental SEN, RIPESS. The work we do is part of a global movement toward the next system of postcapitalist economics where people form genuine democracies, constitute their governments actively, and manage resources wisely and fairly. In the long-term, we are coordinating with our global network, but in the short-term, we are doing the work that takes on the ground: pooling resources, buying land, building sustainable autonomous food systems, and governing our own workplaces democratically. Relationship building is primary, and is the reason for all that we do to create economic and social justice.
